Meet Prozach, Connecticut Based Rapper with an Extremely Diverse Sound

Connecticut has been offering a lot of potential to the music scene this year. Out of the New Britain area, Prozach is an upcoming artist with a diverse sound much different from his Connecticut peers. On the 29th, Prozach dropped his long-awaited EP, Mic Stands & Vyvanse (hear above), the first of a series EPs he plans on dropping in 2018 reflecting the effects of prescription medication. He plans on making each installment different but influenced by the drug it is named after.

The young artist has musical background as he started playing the trumpet in the 4th grade. His sound is very uplifting, but as Prozach started expressing his lows, his music started taking a darker approach as well.

Many of his peers may not know, but Prozach has a bachelors degree in Psychology as well as a degree in Criminal Justice. Although he has these opportunities, Prozach wants to be able to make creativity a full time gig, no matter what it may be. He has a clothing line coming next year called Uncivilized Civilians and expects to incorporate more poetry and trumpet playing into his music. Prozach states that 2018 will be a very exciting year for him as he plans on collaborating with a lot of people, dropping at least two collaborated EPs and a lot of videos. The main is goal for the Connecticut native is for his name to be everywhere.

A closer look into some of Prozach’s interests would show you that he is involved with Urban Exploration, or Urbex. Urbex is when people, either solo or in a group go and explored old and abandoned buildings. Prozach visits old psychiatric hospitals in the Connecticut, New York and Massachusetts area, with the Rockland Psychiatric Hospital in New York being his favorite.

Over here at UNDERVIEWS, we expect to see a lot from Prozach this upcoming year. The potential is overwhelming, and we hope to see him get the recognition he deserves. Prozach says the best way to overcome constant competition in the music scene is to create what you want to create, don’t worry about what anyone else is doing and do what feels good to you. You can follow Prozach on Twitter, Instagram, Bandcamp & Soundcloud.
